A Monaco grande festa per il ritorno della Nazionale Piloti e i 30 anni dello Star Team
Una grande serata di sport, beneficenza e di festa in diretta su Sky Sport F1 HD e Sky Sport 1. Martedì 24 maggio è la data che ha ufficialmente segnato il ritorno in azione della Nazionale Piloti allo Stadio Louis II di Monaco ed è stata un’occasione speciale per festeggiare i 30 anni dalla fondazione dello Star Team: alla presenza di S.A.S Principe Alberto II, entrambe le squadre sono scese in campo per regalare spettacolo, emozioni e momenti di solidarietà -a partire dalla consegna di una maglia celebrativa della Nazionale Piloti firmata da tutti i piloti presenti e consegnata a S.A.S Principe Alberto II, per poi concludere con il trofeo speciale regalato a entrambe le squadre al termine della partita.
Capitanata da Fernando Alonso, la Nazionale Piloti ha visto la presenza di diversi campioni del mondo delle quattro ruote: oltre ad Alonso, tifo da stadio per l’eroe di casa Charles Leclerc, autore della pole position nel Gran Premio di Spagna di Formula Uno della scorsa settimana. Inoltre, tanto entusiasmo per il pilota spagnolo della rossa di Maranello -Carlos Sainz e l’alfiere della Scuderia Alpha Tauri Pierre Gasly, vincitore del Gran Premio d’Italia a Monza nel 2020.
Ritorno in campo per il padre fondatore Riccardo Patrese, vicecampione del mondo di Formula Uno del 1992, con il figlio Lorenzo Patrese, a 16 anni impegnato nel GT World Challenge Europe nella stagione in corso. Presenti, inoltre, il vincitore della 24 Ore di Le Mans e più volte commissario in Formula Uno Emanuele Pirro, l’ex F1 e oggi impegnato in FIA WEC Giancarlo Fisichella, il ferrarista e commentatore in TV Ivan Capelli, una delle colonne portanti della squadra e straordinario secondo nel secondo round del DTM al Lausitzring la scorsa settimana, il biker Michel Fabrizio, l’ex calciatore di Torino, Fiorentina e Sampdoria Sandro Cois, e i due portieri Matteo Munari e Maicol Murano.
Sono scesi in campo alcune delle nuove leve del motorsport come il trionfatore della Formula Regional a Imola e speranza dell’automobilismo italiano Gabriele Mini, il due volte vincitore in gara nella stagione del debutto in Porsche Carrera Cup Italia Giorgio Amati e il GT driver e difensore della squadra Giovanni Altoè.
A rafforzare la squadra alcuni giocatori professionisti come il campione del mondo 1994 con il Brasile Aldair e il vice-campione d’Europa Luigi Di Biagio, l’ex di Fiorentina, Inter e Milan Giampaolo Pazzini, gli ex di Brescia, Fiorentina, Genoa e Chievo Dario Dainelli e Matteo Mariani.
Il campo ha visto un pareggio tra Nazionale Piloti e Star Team Monaco: 3 a 3 con goal di Pazzini e doppietta di Sainz. La partita è stata la numero 240 nei 41 anni di storia della squadra, l’88mo match pareggiato. Le reti totali realizzate sono state 622, incluse queste ultime tre.
Al termine della partita, la festa per i 30 anni dello Star Team Monaco è continuata durante la cena di gala con la presenza del S.A.S Principe Alberto II, delle due squadre e dello staff.

A big party in Monaco for the return of Nazionale Piloti and the 30th anniversary of the Star Team
A great evening of sport, charity and celebrations live on Sky Sport F1 HD and Sky Sport 1. Tuesday, May 24 is the date that officially marked the return to action of the Nazionale Piloti at the Stade Louis II in Monaco and it was a special occasion to celebrate the 30th birthday of the Star Team: in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, both teams took to the field to put on a show, conveying emotions and solidarity -starting with the delivery of a Nazionale Piloti celebratory jersey signed by all the drivers playing and gifted to H.S.H. Prince Albert II, to then conclude with the special trophy given to both teams at the end of the match.
Captained by Fernando Alonso, Nazionale Piloti saw the presence of several four-wheel world champions: in addition to Alonso, the crowd cheered for home hero Charles Leclerc, poleman at the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix last week. Furthermore, a lot of enthusiasm for the Spanish driver who races with the red car of Maranello -Carlos Sainz and for the Scuderia Alpha Tauri standard-bearer Pierre Gasly, winner of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza in 2020.
A return to the field for the founding father Riccardo Patrese, Formula 1 vice world champion in 1992, with his son Lorenzo Patrese, who competes in the GT World Challenge Europe in the current season at the age of 16. Moreover, other protagonists of the team were the 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and F1 race steward on many occasions Emanuele Pirro, the former F1 driver currently competing in FIA WEC Giancarlo Fisichella, the former Ferrari driver and current TV commentator Ivan Capelli, one of the pillars of the team and extraordinary runner-up at the second round of DTM at the Lausitzring last week, the biker Michel Fabrizio, the former Torino, Fiorentina and Sampdoria player Sandro Cois and the two goalkeepers Matteo Munari and Maicol Murano.
Some drivers of the new generation took to the field: the Formula Regional winner in Imola and young hopeful in Italian motorsports Gabriele Mini, the two-time race winner in his debut season in Porsche Carrera Cup Italia Giorgio Amati and the GT driver as well as team defender Giovanni Altoè.
In order to strengthen the team, some professional players came into action: the 1994 world champion with the Brazilian national team Aldair and the European vice-champion Luigi di Biagio, the former Fiorentina, Inter and Milan player Giampaolo Pazzini, the former Brescia, Fiorentina, Genoa and Chievo players Dario Dainelli and Matteo Mariani.
The field saw a draw between Nazionale Piloti and Star Team Monaco: 3 vs 3 with a goal of Pazzini and a brace of Sainz. The match was the 240th game in the 41-year-old history of the team, the 88th match that ended in a draw. The total amount of goals that has been scored up until now amounts to 622, including the latter three.
At the end of the match, the party for the 30th anniversary of the Monaco Star Team continued during the gala dinner, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the two teams and the staff.
